Reebok
Reebok is an international athletic footwear and apparel company. Initially founded in 1958 in Bolton, England, by Joe and Jeff Foster, it was originally named J.W. Foster and Sons but rebranded as Reebok in 1958. The company's name, inspired by the Afrikaans spelling of "rhebok," a type of African antelope, reflects its early focus on running shoes. Reebok's product line has since expanded to include a wide range of athletic and leisure wear. It gained prominence in the 1980s for its innovative and stylish footwear, including the introduction of the first athletic shoe designed specifically for women. In 2006, Adidas acquired Reebok, positioning the brand as a subsidiary. Reebok continues to be a prominent name in the global sportswear market, known for its dedication to fitness and lifestyle products tailored towards a variety of sports and athletic activities.
