Shopify Inc. is a Canadian multinational e-commerce company headquartered in Ottawa, Ontario. It is a platform for businesses of all sizes to set up their online stores and sell products. Shopify offers a suite of services including payments, marketing, shipping, and customer engagement tools. Founded in 2006 by Tobias Lütke, Daniel Weinand, and Scott Lake after attempting to open an online store for snowboarding equipment, they shifted focus to create a user-friendly e-commerce platform that didn’t require technical expertise. Shopify has since grown into one of the largest e-commerce platforms globally, supporting over a million businesses.
